One person has been confirmed dead while four others are on admission following suspected cases of Lassa Fever in Jos North Local Government. The chief Epidemiologist in Plateau state Dr, Raymond Jurit stated this while speaking to journalists in Jos. He expressed regret that samples of the diseases had been sent to Edo state for verification and that the case had been reported to the Federal ministry of health for assistance.

On suspected cholera in the state, the state epidemiologist said ten new suspected cases had been recorded in Rikkos area of Jos North Local Government. Dr. Jurit has dispelled rumours of reported cases of the diseases in Mangu.
