Northern Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev Yakubu Pam has urged Christian Community in Northern states and the federal capital territory to show love to one another as they celebrate this years Christmas and hope for a better new year of 2018.
Rev Pam in a statement issued in Jos to mark this Year’s Christmas celebrations said Nigerians no matter their background and faith they profess, should work for peace and be their brothers keepers at all times .
According to him, the celebrations of the birth of our Lord Jesus christ would not be complete if there is no peace and love of one another in this country, “Nigerians should use this period of christian celebrations of the birth of Jesus Christ to build bridges across the divides in all the parts of this country as they look forward towards a prosperous new year a head”.
Rev Pam used the occasion to felicitate with the President and Commander in Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, President Mohhamadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, the Senate President Olusola Saraki, the Speaker House of Representatives Dogara and the Governor of Plateau state Barr Simon Lalong at this year’s Christmas celebrations, wishing them God’s guidance in providing leadership for the people of this country at different stratas of government.
He called on Nigerians to cultivate new habit of hard work and shun acts that are capable of panting Nigeria ‘s image in bad light in the eyes of the world.
