This evening the village head of Kwi in Riyom LGA (Da Joshua Dung Lwon) was arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) and taken to the Makera division of the STF.

After a brief interrogation though, the Royal father was said to have been freed under certain condition and was still at Makera at the time of filing this report.

The circumstances surrounding why he was arrested and subsequently freed remains unclear, but an eye witness who spoke to our reporter from the village confirmed that when the royal father was arrested, many of his subjects protested vehemently.

It would be recalled that his domain (Kwi -which is just behind the Yakubu Gowon Airport) has suffered significant attacks and killing from suspected marauders in the last few months/years.
