News reaching ViewPointNigeria suggests that the paramount chief of Mupun land (Mishkom Mupun) -Da Nuhu Daswep passed-on at approximately 8:00 am this morning (September 11th 2013). He is reported to have died of a protracted illness which has incapacitated him for the past few months.  The exact nature of the illness was not clear at the time of filing-in this report, but our source in Jos confirmed that the paramount chief had been on admission in a hospital in the state for quite a long time.

The traditional stool of Mishkom Mupun is domiciled in Langkang but the chief oversees the entire cultural affairs of the Mupun Chiefdom, spanning villages such as Jiblik, Abwor-Dyis, Kagu, Langkang, Asa, Sihin, Jing etc.
