Nigeria military added that the operation began yesterday when the military took full control of enclaves and hideouts of the town before the commencement of the attacks today. The statement further added that some of the terrorists are presently fleeing to the borders where they will be engaged by the Multinational Joint Task Force who has been mandated to contain them.

The military said the mop up exercise will continue in all towns and villages in the North Eastern part of the country that have been liberated from the sect. It also thanked the Nigeria people for its encouragement and support. The military ended with its slogan of “NEVER AGAIN” will any part of the country be allowed to be taken by terrorists.
