Several people were said to already have been rushed to the Plateau Specialist Hospital for urgent attention -but accurate numbers regarding the dead and the injured are yet to be confirmed.

Our reporter on ground is still trying to access the site, within the relevant restrictions set in place by paramedics and police and shall bring an update shortly.

No group has currently claimed responsibility, but like most other blasts in the nation, the fingers point to Boko Haram.
