Boys Brigade Visits IDPs camps donates Relief Materials

The Barkin Ladi Battalion of the Boys Brigade Nigeria have visited the internally displaced persons in various camps located in Barkin Local Government to includes, COCIN LCC Kworos, RCC Heipang, LCC Ban and Dorowa areas where over 200 persons were killed on 23rd June, 2018.
The Boys brigade used the separate occasions to commiserate with the victims, family of their members who were killed and donated relief materials to help reduced the suffering of the Internally Displaced Persons in the camps.
The Boys brigade led by its chairman of the Barkin Ladi Battalion Council Mr Obadiah Luka, who did not only visit the numerous IDPs but said: “we were able to visit Churches and District where the attack took place and hundreds of lives were killed.
He disclosed that most of the children killed were boys Brigade members whom the Battalion were training to grow with the fear and knowledge of God.
He call on the Federal Government and Plateau State Government including security agencies to ensure the relocation of the victims back to their ancestral lands as well take up to their responsibilities and tackle the issues of attacks by the suspected Fulani herdsmen and arrest the perpetrators.
Also Speaking during the visits the Patron of the Boys Brigade in Barkin Ladi and member of the National Patron Engr. Pam Markus expressed dismay with the plight of the victims, stating that the Battalion visited to give their little show of love.
Camp Coordinator of COCIN LCC Kworos, RCC Ropp Mr Barnabas Philip appreciated the donations by the boys brigade and solicit for Christians to keep praying for the victims for Government to relocate them back to their ancestral lands.
During the visits, the Boys Brigade presented relief materials including food items and other essentials to the numerous displaced persons to ameliorate their sufferings in the various IDP camps where they are currently grappling with serious humanitarian challenges
