There was pandemonium in the Dogon Karfe area of Jos metropolis today when a car thought to be laden with bombs was noticed parked for a long time.

Report says a Peugeot 505 car was left in the area for a long time prompting residents to raise alarm which sent people running helter skelter leading to gridlock on Murtala Muhammed Way and other surrounding roads.

The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Emmanuel Abuh stated that a report was made about the incident prompting the police to deploy the bomb disposal unit who searched the car and discovered only personal effects. He added that investigation has commenced to understand why the car was parked there for a long time.
