Representative Bill Keating of Massachusetts who is also a member of homeland security committee said an unexploded device was also found at a hotel on Boylston Street close to the bomb site and another was found at an undisclosed location in Keating while calling the bombing a “sophisticated, coordinated, planned attack.” Boston Police commissioner Ed Davis said that one other explosive device was found and dismantled.

Investigation has commenced into the incident with the US President Barack Obama promising to get to the root of the matter and bringing perpetrators to justice while the Federal Aviation Administration has placed a flight restriction over the blasts site. Security has been beefed up around major cities in the US.
