The Berom Youth Moulders (BYM) has asked the Federal Government and military high command to look into the activities of the Special Task Force (STF) deployed to Plateau State to maintain peace. Chairman of BYM, Mr Rwang Dantong while speaking at a press conference in Jos yesterday accused the STF of negligence of duty while innocent and helpless people were ambushed and hacked to death in villages inhabited by the Beroms.

He said that the attacks were becoming so complex despite the presence of security operatives around the surrounding villages. According to him, it is always worrisome to hear the STF saying that unknown gunmen were responsible and that everything was under control only for it to repeat itself while the perpetrators are never apprehended.

Dantong said that the sophisticated arms recently displayed by the STF were not recovered from the youths arrested at Du but used as a cover up to show that the victims were the aggressors. He called on the Federal Government and military high command to urgently look into the matter as this further proves that there is a grand design targeted at the Berom people.
