In its bid to alleviate the suffering of people living with disabilities, Beautiful Gate Handicapped people Center Jos donated 100 wheelchairs to people living with disabilities in Karu Local Government Area of Nassarawa state.

The event took place in the council secretariat of Karu.

Presenting the wheelchairs to the Council Chairman, the Director and Founder of Beautiful Gate Handicapped people Center, Chief Ayuba Burki Gufwan admonished the beneficiaries to make good use of the mobility appliances to help better their lives, Chief Gufwan, a polio survivor himself added that they should take advantage of this gesture to either learn a trade, enrol in school or start a business.

Responding, the Chairman of Karu Local Government Council, Hon. James Thomas appreciates the Beautiful Gate team for finding him and his people worthy of this kind gesture, he promised to continue to support people living with disabilities within his Area. Goodwill messages were received from the Etsu of Karu, CAN and JNI Chairman and APC Chairman of Karu LGA.

Among the beneficiaries of the tricycle wheelchairs, Mr John received a gifted shoe making machine from the Council Chairman upon the request of Chief Gufwan to boost his cobbling business
