The Bassa local government chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) organised a grand reception for the newly elected Plateau state chairman of the party as an honour to one of their illustrious sons who has made them proud in the recently concluded PDP congress.

Viewpoint learnt from a statement made available by Chris Hassan Media Team that the reception which was organized by Stakeholders and PDP Excos in Bassa in honor of the new PDP State Chairman Hon Chris Hassan at Jasco Hotel, was overwhelming and memorable as the hall was filled to the brim.

“The new PDP State Chairman arrived the venue around 7:23pm and was received by traditional dance groups, and cheering from party faithfuls accompanied by chantings of *Allah ya tamaike PDP Chairman* in Hausa.

“Those who spoke at the occasion include an elderstatesman Hon Akson, the member representing Rukuba Irigwe state Constituency  Hon Angwe, PDP stalwarts across the local government. In their separate remarks they extolled the virtues of the new PDP State Chairman and described him as honest, sincere, pragmatic and patriotic.

“Those who registered their presence at the occasion include Elderstatesmen, Party stalwarts, Party Excos,  friends, family, well wishers across the State and the PDP State working committee led by the Deputy Chairman of the Party Captain Golen. The statement reads in part.
