Four women were on Wednesday paraded by the Plateau state police command for allegedly selling an eight month old baby girl amongst themselves in a serial sale that began with the baby’s grandmother.

The baby’s grandmother, Mrs Kate Anwacha sold the baby for N200,000 to Eucharia Anyeagbu who in turn sold the baby girl for N330,000 to one Rita Madubuko who ended selling her to Grace Nnadozie for N550,000.

The baby’s grandmother, Mrs Kate Anwacha sold the baby for N200,000 to Eucharia Anyeagbu who in turn sold the baby girl for N330,000 to one Rita Madubuko who ended selling her to Grace Nnadozie for N550,000.

Plateau state police commissioner, Chris Olakpe while parading the suspects before newsmen in Jos on Wednesday stated that “the trafficked baby girl, Chiamaka Obinna was recovered a week ago, July 24, at Awka, Anambra State, through intelligence efforts of detectives from the ‘A’ Division of the Nigeria Police, Jos.”

The police boss added that the baby’s grandmother sold the baby to the first buyer five days earlier on July 19 after sending people around her on errands.
