Three times House of Assembly member and one-time Deputy Speaker of the House, Ibrahim Baba Hassan and 23 others have been returned in their various constituencies to contest the state House of Assembly elections under the All Progressives Congress (APC) banner.
The House of Assembly primaries were conducted in three out of the 17 local government areas of the state while candidates in the other 14 local government areas were returned unopposed.
State secretary of the party, Alhaji Bashiru Musa Sati, said “candidates for 19 seats in the other 14 local government areas of the state were returned unopposed.”

However in Jos North Local Government Area, primaries were conducted in all the two state constituencies with incumbent for Jos North-North scoring 112 votes to defeat Alhaji Abdulnasir Saleh, Yusuf Muhammad Dankaura, Barrister Aminu Ahmad, Hussaini Adam Maishafi, who scored 55, 2, 18 and 8 votes respectively.
In Jos North West constituency, former member, Peter Azi, scored 106 votes to emerge victorious against Inuwa Muhammad Othman, who scored 85 votes.
Other results of the primaries conducted in Bassa and Wase local government areas, had Musa Gondina scoring 172 votes to defeat Mrs. Sara Baley, while Alhaji Yahaya Mabo scored 197 votes to defeat Alhaji Sirajo Ahmad who scored 108 votes respectively.
Baba Hassan promised better representation in the legislative house, stressing that “experience is the best teacher.”
