Armed Robbers kill police and civil defense in Tudun Wada ring road Jos

Information coming in suggests that armed robbers have just struck at Jolex filling station, around Tudun Wada ring road – Jos, killing one police officer, one civil defense staff and injuring 2 individuals.

The robbery, which took place at 11:45 pm on Friday 5th April saw armed men storm the filling station and proceeding to kill security agents before scouring for cash and valuables.

A witness at the scene who spoke to ViewPointNigeria’s correspondent said I was in the filling station main building when I heard the sound of gun fire. We rushed out to find the two security operatives bleeding profusely.

The police officer has since been confirmed as inspector Ezekiel James while the Civil Defense staff’s name is yet to be provided.

At the time of filing this report, there was still a lot of pandemonium in the area as residents fled. Police officers have since retrieved both corpses.

Armed robbery, kidnapping and attacks have remained on the rise in the once peaceful Plateau. Specifically, kidnapping has seen an exponential increase in the state, where the culprits have a preference for taking children or women.

In the past month alone, over 8 kidnapping case were reported in Jos metropolis alone. Even yesterday Friday 5th April, two children around Rayfild (5 & 7 years old) were kidnapped by yet to be identified individuals who stormed their house at 2am and proceeding to abduct them against pleas from their parents etc.
