The Metropolitan Archbishop of Abuja Catholic Archdiocese, Most Rev. Ignatius Kaigama, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately find a lasting solution to the rising insecurity in Southern Kaduna and other parts of the country.
Kaigama said this in a homily delivered at the ordination of seven new priests in Abuja on Sunday. The cleric also noted that the service chiefs need to change their tactics on security to curb violence and killings in the Northeast and in the country s a whole.
He said a sincere change in approach in the fight against insecurity would bring peace and stability to the Southern Kaduna and the North part of the country.
He said: “As we pray in this Mass, let us remember the families and individuals who have lost their loved ones in the recent guerrilla attacks in Southern Kaduna and other parts of the nation.
“We have had enough of these killings. Dialogue can resolve problems better than guns, bombs and arrows. We call on the government at all levels to provide immediate and lasting security solutions.”
