Following rejection of some PDP returnees in Plateau State, the State’s Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said it is prepared to receive the rejected members into their fold.
The call was made by the Interim Chairman of the party in the State, Sen. John Shagaya stated this in a chat with journalists in Jos Wednesday.
Shagaya said, “We are optimistic that the aggrieved members of the PDP would defect to APC as the crisis in the ruling party deepens.

Shagaya said, “We are optimistic that the aggrieved members of the PDP would defect to APC as the crisis in the ruling party deepens.
“On our own, we are set to destabilise the PDP in the State and ensure victory for our party in the general election come 2015.
“We are happy about the mistakes the ruling party in the state is doing. What is happening now was bound to happen and our party could provide an alternative for disgruntled members , who are unhappy with the way they have been treated in PDP. He maintained.
The Retired General further revealed that he would be vying the Senatorial seat for Plateau South in the forthcoming elections.
It would be recalled that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had asked four of its gubernatorial aspirants, the immediate past governor of the State, Chief Joshua Dariye and others to stop printing their campaign posters with the logo of the party.
Among those mentioned are Engr.Jimmy Cheto, Sir Fidelis Tapgun, Mr Jonathan Sheni, and Arch John Alkali who the party reprimanded for identifying with it, have their posters in parts of the state announcing their intention to vie for the ticket of the party.
The State’s PDP Secretary, Prince Pam Sale had in a press statement recently, said the listed names using the party logo to print campaign materials, should stop the act, saying, “The party regards them as impostors and this is totally unacceptable.
The statement maintained,”They are those who had left the party to other parties, fought the party in the last elections and today want to contest.
