News reaching ViewPointNigeria is less than 24 hours after setting ablaze two buses belonging to President Goodluck Jonathan’s Campaign Office in Jos, a mob again on Sunday descended on a Police post along Bauchi road, burning it down.
ViewPointNigeria gathered that the recent riot broke out when the Special Task Force (STF) deployed to restore peace in the state stormed Bauchi road on Sunday morning where one of the buses was set ablaze and arrested 6 youths.
The arrest of the youths, of which some members of the community claimed were innocent, led to a riot with the STF soldiers shooting sporadically in the air to disperse the mob.
The mob then took to the streets, a development that degenerated into a riot, leading to the burning down of the Police post.
When contacted on telephone, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Nasiru Oki confirmed the incident, and said investigations are ongoing.
