The Rich Culture of Anaguta people of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state was display to the delight of Dignitaries as well as the general public during the Installation and Presentation of first class staff of office to the Ujah of Anaguta of Anaguta Nation, the colourfully presentation was made the Plateau state Governor, Rt.Hon.Simon Bako Lalong at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium, Governor Lalong said that the Rescue administration’s core mandate is to give to the good people of Plateau state sense of belonging, harmony, unity and purpose through guarantee of peace, security and good governance.
According to him, his interest in the creation of chiefdoms and the recognition of traditional institutions is to give communities in the state a pride of Place.
You are the custodian of our culture, history and religious values. You should play a great role in mobilization of your subjects, especially youth in education, commerce and Agriculture,Lalong also admonish him to be a strategic and effective mediator in alternative disputes resolution particularly on land and boundary issues and mutual co-existence. If can be recalled,on the 14th August 2018,the Governor, in a broadcast, upgrade two chiefdoms of Anaguta and Atten chiefdoms from second class to first class statues, Jos Izere Chiefdom of Second class statues hitherto suspended by the last Administration was restored, during the broadcast also, Lalong pointed that, his administration is poised and committed in addressing the issue of creation of chiefdoms and review and review of salaries and welfare packages of traditional rulers in the state. In his speech, the Hon . Commissioner for local Government and chieftaincy Affairs, Dayyabu Yusuf Garga thank the Governor for listening to the yearnings and aspirations of our people. The Anaguta nation by this status will would not longer be subservient to any community rather they are now liberated and free to grow to an enviable level. In his speech, the Ujah thank the governor for elevating the stool during his reign, he solicited for team work in order to achieve a common goal, there is need for inputs from all and sundry, in appreciation, the Ujah and his elated subjects the Anaguta Nation bestowed the chieftaincy title of Orokah of Anaguta, meaning the support pillar of Anaguta nation.
