Information available to ViewPointNigeria through a stakeholder of ADP Hon. Daniel Kura indicates that APC has a long way to go in fixing the country. ”It is obvious that APC has failed us at the state and national level. Nigerians are lamenting over APC’s poor performance in the last two years but we can assure Nigerians that all hope is not lost. The birth of ADP is to salvage Nigeria and give people hope for the future” the chieftain says.

Despite the hopeful promises of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Plateau State and at the National level, led by President Muhammadu Buhari, Nigerians across the length and breadth of the country are filled with lamentations, as the country celebrates to mark Democracy Day.

Most Nigerians have boldly complained that what they are seeing and experiencing in the country today was not what they had bargained for or contracted with the APC.

Joining their voices, to the series of lamenting voices in their office in Jos, the capital of Plateau State today, were members of the Action Democratic Party (ADP).

According to them, the failure of the APC in the last two years shows that, the party and its members were mere caretakers in an administration they were not prepared to handle.

Reacting in an exclusive interview in the party’s office, Mr. Abel Peter Usman, a Clergy, said there is nothing wrong in celebrating the Democracy Day.

He said he is happy that democracy has now lasted for over 17 years in the country.

However, he was quick to add that, the present administration of the APC has truncated the gains of democracy known by Nigerians.

Mr. Abel said, “How can we celebrate, when Nigerians are hungry and they are dying in their numbers?

“The problem is that this APC administration had risen the hopes of the people so high during their campaigns and now, two years after, they have not fulfilled anything but have rather engaged in the blame game for the period under review”.

“I really cannot give them above 10% with respect to their performance in the past two years, here in Plateau state and at the National level.

“I believe in leadership and good leadership especially!

“If you can see, the past administration in Plateau State, led by Sen. Jang, did his best and that is the glory that the Lalong’s administration is hanging on to.

“Almost all that Lalong’s administration is commissioning today were projects nearing completion that the Jang administration left behind. This is a shame!

On her part, the Treasurer of the state branch of the ADP, Mrs. Susan Laoshak Yusuf, said owing to the failure of the administration at the state and at the federal level, parents are now unable to meet up with their family responsibilities especially to the children.

Madam Susan said, “Today, people cannot approach their neighbours for assistance, as they themselves cannot assist. People are really suffering. What a shame!

“Let me ask, what are they actually celebrating when children school fees cannot be paid and unborn children are crying inside their mothers?

“This is very bad!

“If they cannot fulfill their promises in the last two years, what time do they have again? As a party, we are already preparing to collect the mandate from the APC for the benefit of the masses.

“They are even teaching people that lying is good, as they lie every time they communicate.

“For governor Lalong he has only succeeded in getting 5% of his promises. He has completely failed us! This his payment of salary cannot help.

“May the will of God be done!”

Hon. Daniel Kura, who is already eyeing the Chairmanship seat of Langtang North Local Government Area of the state under the platform of the ADP, said, the APC leadership in Plateau state are mere Caretaker Committee, as they were not prepared to govern the state to progress.

He accused the administration to be a curse to the people of the state and that the people would reject its second coming.

You would recall that Daniel had been a die-hard APC fan as a journalist that he was nicknamed the APC journalist by his colleagues.

However, according to Daniel, “I never knew their intentions then. I never knew they were looking for a platform to loot and cheat the masses. Now that I know, I am calling on Plateau State people to reject the APC.”

“I am ashamed that the projects presented to the people of Plateau State by the Lalong led administration can not cover one page of their programme during the stakeholders’ meeting in the state. This is what an elected councilor can achieve in one year!

On his part also, Hon. Sam Gyang, stated that he was worried that, while people in the state are hungry, the government is calling on the people to come and eat food in government house yesterday.

He said, “The admission of the Minister of Information that Nigerians are suffering, is a direct admission that the APC has failed!

“We all know that the cost of food items in the country has tripled, and this people are still talking of patience. Look Nigerians are now more prepared to kick them out!

“However, on my part, I give governor Lalong, 45% in his performance!”
