Kwatpas, the annual Abwor/Dyis hunting festival which heralds the farming season was held in style  in the village square on 15 – 16th April at 2016.

The event, which commenced on 15th April 2016, with a gala night and the famous Miss Abwor/Dyis pagent competition was well attended and graced by illustrious sons, daughters and friends of the Abwor/Dyis community. Including Mr. Maichibi Vwarji, Hon Festus Fwangter (Commissioner for Lands and Survey), Mr Gideon Dashe (represented by Pastor David Dabit), Mrs. Beatrice Dakas and Mrs Longtong Pwajok

Saturday 16th April, which was the main event, was held at the Abwor/Dyis playground. The event featured rare displays of gallantry, valour and culture. It was hosted by the Abwor Dyis Development Chairman – Mr. John Damap, supported by other EXCOs –  Mr. Timothy Dayen (Central Committee Chairman) and Pharm Vincent Danat (Director of Socials).

The event was chaired by Dr. Kuden Kamshak Deyin and Launched by Mr. Emmanuel Nanle (Director of Press Affairs to the Governor).
