Chief Ezra Yardi Dakup was born into the family of Mr and Mrs Ayuba Dakup over 55 years ago in Jibam village of Chip District of Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State, married with 3 kids.
Schools Attended
He attended primary school from 1976 through 1982 where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. He obtained the highest academic qualifications a Master of Science (M Sc.) degree in Agricultural Economics from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.
His unquenched thirst for academics and Mastery took him to Malaysia where he obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in Supply Chain Management from Malaysia University of Science and Technology, Kuala Lumpur. He also attended the only Premier/Prestigious Transport Institution in Nigeria (Nigeria Institute of Transport Technology, Zaria where he obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management).
Work History
Chief Ezra Yardi Dakup started his career with the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs. From there, he left after 5 years to join the Federal Road Safety Corps as a young officer. After spending a couple of years with the FRSC, he was appointed by Seven-Up Bottling Company, the largest Franchise bottlers of Pepsi Cola brands in Sub Saharan Africa to come and rescue an ailing unit of its Transport and Distribution Division here in Lagos, Nigeria. After over 5 years of stay with them, he left and joined The Dangote Group in its Sugar Refinery Strategic Business Unit where he heads the Logistics and Distribution Department. He was later seconded to Dangote Cement Plc as National Head, Corporate Sales Logistics of the Bulk Cement Operations.
Chief Ezra Yardi Dakup had a stint in the oil and gas industry where he rescued a near collapsed Logistics and Transport Division of Capital Oil and Gas Industries in Apapa, Lagos; The first and only northerner to have occupied that position in the company.

He is morally sound and has produced consistent achievements in his chosen field of Endeavour, Youth empowerment and service to his community. He is an adventurer who has the required moral courage, vision, drive and the ability to make tough choices.
At what point in time has he decided to join politics and why?
His political involvement dates back to student Unionism. He was the Assistant Secretary-General of the National Association of Plateau State Students (NAPSS) national body and also the Financial Secretary of the Students Union Government (SUG). From there, he proceeded into the real political landscape after graduation and has been operating from the rear and successive Governments as well as all strata from councillorship, chairmanship, governorships; he has supported them at different times, but has never been at the front flank. His coming into real politics, the active play was when he contested for the seat of Pankshin South in the Plateau State House of assembly, that was when he got involved actively, but before then, he had been operating at the rear flank. That’s what it is. He is now the serving member representing the good people of Pankshin south constituency in the state assembly.
