Reports reaching our newsdesks suggests that four persons were on Monday killed in an attack on two villages in Langtang South Local Council Area of Plateau State by gun weilding marauders. The two villages,  Karkashi and Barrack were said to have been completely destroyed and burnt down by the marauders.

Speaking on the matter with newsmen yesterday in Jos, the chairman of the Taroh community in the locality, Mr. Jungle Luhdut, confirmed the incident, saying that the attackers in their usual clandestine nature struck at a moment when people least expected. He said the low casualty figure was because people responded to the rumour of the impending attack by moving out of the area. He averred that after commiting the heinous act, the attackers may have escaped through the bushes into Taraba state.
