Following his decisive victory at the polls, Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, the lawmaker representing the Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam (PKK) Federal Constituency, has announced a constituency-wide “thank-you” tour to express gratitude to his supporters and reinforce party unity.The tour, scheduled to commence on Monday, May 24, 2026, will see the lawmaker visiting All Progressives Congress (APC) party offices and stakeholders across the Pankshin, Kanke, and Kanam Local Government Areas.
In a video broadcast shared, Gagdi extended his deepest appreciation to APC members across all 36 federal wards of the constituency, praising their unwavering loyalty, resilience, and commitment throughout the electoral process.
He also commended the APC National Secretariat and the party’s electoral committee for ensuring a well-organized and transparent primary election.
“Now is not the time for division, but for unity, reconciliation, and the collective progress of our party and constituency,”
Gagdi stated, urging party faithful to shift focus toward collective development.
The lawmaker’s victory was secured with an overwhelming 29,207 votes, leaving his opponents with a combined total of fewer than 2,000 votes.Addressing a recent controversial declaration by Monday Daspan, which purported to name Dr. Tongshinen as the winner, Gagdi dismissed the move as an illegal sideshow.
He characterized the incident as a futile attempt by unauthorized individuals to subvert the official process by announcing fabricated results outside legitimate channels.
Despite the brief political friction, Gagdi maintained that his team remained unfazed. He emphasized that they refused to be distracted by propaganda or manufactured confusion, choosing instead to remain anchored to the facts and the official mandate of the constituents.
As he prepares to embark on the constituency tour, Gagdi offered special recognition to the youth, women groups, elders, key stakeholders, and his campaign team for standing firmly by him.The upcoming tour is expected to serve as both a celebratory homecoming and a strategic effort to heal post-election fractures and solidify the party’s base ahead of the general elections.
