Jos  – Gov. Simon Lalong of Plateau has approved the appointment of Mr Joseph Lengmang as the Director-General of the newly established Peace Building and Conflict Resolution Bureau.

A statement signed by Mr Emmanuel Nanle, Director of Press and Public Affairs to the governor, said that the appointment was in fulfilment Lalong’s promise to consolidate on the peace and security in the state.

It added the appointment was also part of his resolve to entrench good governance as compliment of the policy thrust of the administration in the state.
Until his appointment, Lengmang was a Lecturer with Centre for Conflict Management and Peace Studies, University of Jos.

According to the statement, he is expected to bring his exposure in global peace building practices to bear in consolidating on the practical gains made by government with the return of peace in the state.

The appointment is with immediate effect. (NAN)
