Lalong commissions pre-paid meters and electricity equipment for Jos DISCO

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, commissioned Pre-paid Electronic Meters, Distribution Transformers, and other Equipment of the Jos Electricity Distribution Company on Monday 11/04/16 at the Eliel Events Centre, Jos.

Speaking at the occasion, the management of the company reiterated their desire and commitment to sustainable distribution of electricity to areas within their remit, including Plateau, Benue, Bauchi, and Gombe States.

In his interaction with journalists, the chairman Alh. Mahmoud Yayale Ahmed the former Secretary to the Federal Government said Jos, the headquarters of the company accounts for the highest consumption of electricity and revenue generation for the company. He expressed his appreciation to the Governor, the Government and people of Plateau State for their hospitality, support and patronage over the years and pledged to deliver on their mandate of distributing electricity to consumers.

The occasion had in attendance representatives of the Hon. Minister for Power, Works, and Housing, and Governor of Bauchi State, Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Peter Azi, who was present and other dignitaries from both the private and public sector organisations.
