University of Jos gets new registrar

The Governing Council of the University of Jos (Unijos) in Plateau State has appointed a new registrar, Monday Danjem to assume office on June 24, university spokesman, Abdullahi Abdullahi has said.

Abdullahi said in a statement that until his appointment, Monday Danjem was the deputy registrar in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, and that he will take over from Danjuma Jilli-Dandam whose tenure will end on June 23.

Aged 52, Mr. Danjem obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree Public Administration from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1990. He has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Jos. He began his administrative career in the University of Jos as an administrative officer I in 1997 and rose to the position of deputy registrar in November 2012.
