Plateau Killings: group Express gratitude to Rep. Hon. AMB. Daniel Asama Ago (Anki Kaboh) for Quick legislative actions
Movement for the Emancipation of Bassa/Jos North has applauded Hon. Daniel Asama Ago, Member representing Jos North/ Bassa in the national assembly Abuja, for his steadfastness and boldness in standing and speaking on behalf of the constituency during the devastated and brutal killings of his people.
During the visit Comrade James Jeremiah Ali, leader of the group said the purpose of the visit is to appreciate Hon. Asama for his quick legislative actions and bold steps
In his speech James said “We sincerely extend our heartfelt appreciation to you, our ever-responsible Representative, Hon. AMB. Daniel Asama Ago, for speaking boldly and consistently on behalf of the people of Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency, especially regarding the heartbreaking and incessant killings that have plagued our communities.
Comrade James Jeremiah Ali also said “your recent commitment to ensure that the plight of our people is not only heard but seen firsthand by relevant authorities at the national level is truly commendable. Today, we are encouraged and filled with a renewed sense of hope as we witnessed your presence in the Irigwe Nation- this time not alone, but in the good company of the Hon. Minister of Defence, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, and other top National stakeholders.
Their visit, facilitated by your tireless advocacy, has brought a renewed sense of attention and assurance. We are particularly pleased with the promises made by these national leaders to mediate on behalf of our people and the assurance of the forthcoming visit of the presidential team in the coming days.
The leader of the group further said, “We do understand, sadly, that in the face of such persistent attacks, our people may feel compelled to rise in self-defense. However, we call on you, our Hon. Representative, to continue assisting in all that is needful- especially in ensuring the provision of security infrastructure, relief materials, and sustained follow-up on the National pledges made.”
“Your dedication and consistency in standing for the oppressed, advocating for justice, and seeking sustainable peace and protection for Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency will never be forgotten. “
