North Central Youth Council Applauds the Approval of the North Central Development Commission praises President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his developmental stride and his contribution to the growth of the region
The North Central Youth Council (NCYC) is fascinated by the recent approval of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) by the Nigerian government. This achievement represents the forward thinking leadership and monumental step in addressing the unique development challenges faced by the North Central region and is a testament to the commitment to enhancing the welfare of millions of our people living in the region.
We believe that the North Central Development Commission will bridge the infrastructure gap, promote sustainable economic growth, and creating a favorable environment for investments in the region. This commission will work to alleviate poverty, foster regional unity, and empower local communities through targeted developmental programs.
The North Central Youth Council has long advocated for policies and initiatives that prioritize the needs of youth, women, and marginalized groups and help bring inclusion to all our communities . The establishment of the NCDC is a welcomed development that will create much-needed opportunities in improving education, healthcare, agriculture, and social infrastructure, offering a new era of hope for all residents of North Central Nigeria.
Speaking on the approval, the acting chairman of the North Central Youth Council, Comr. Ezekiel Truth Ritgak, stated: ” We commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for recognizing the challenge’s of ore people and remembering that we need development. This is a victory for the youth of North Central and creation of the North Central Development Commission is a lifeline for our communities. With the NCDC, we anticipate the implementation of key programs that will directly address youth unemployment, improve access to education, and enhance the quality of life for everyone in the region. Our young people are the future, and this commission will be pivotal in ensuring that they have the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.”
The NCYC urges the Nigerian government, alongside the newly established North Central Development Commission, to ensure transparency, inclusivity, and accountability in the implementation of developmental projects, ensuring that all communities within the region benefit equitably. As a body that represents the interests of the youth, the NCYC is committed to collaborating with the NCDC in promoting a future of prosperity, unity, and peace for North Central Nigeria.
