Jos – The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have commenced last minute door-to-door campaign for Saturday’s bye-election in Qua’an Pan North State Constituency.

The importance of the election (which has the capacity to shift the balance of power in the House of Assembly, towards the APC or PDP), has been demonstrated by the immense seriousness shown by the the campaign teams of the two parties – which are personally being led by the chairmen of the state APC and PDP i.e., Letep Dabang and Raymond Dabo.

At the time of filing this report, information reaching ViewPointNigeria suggests that the campaign teams were moving from village to village campaigning and speaking to voters.

The APC candidate, Eric Dakogol and Alloy Oliver of the PDP who spoke to newsmen both expressed high optimism for victory, given the ground work each has put in.

Speaking to Newsmen, Dabang called on the people of Qua’an Pan North not to be deceived into voting for any candidate other than Dakogol of the APC, whom he said was the right person to deliver to the people the dividends of democracy.

Also speaking, Dabo of the PDP said his Party was sure of victory as its candidate was the most popular and qualified to represent the people of the constituency at the house.

It would be recalled that this bye-election was triggered following the unfortunate demise of late Godfrey Dashe (PDP), some months ago.
