The Police Sarff College, Jos, Advanced Detective Course (ADC) 78/2024 Inauguration Ceremony of 127 participants was  held  today Friday 31 May 2024 at Inaugural Hall at the college.

The commandant police staff College AIG Adebowale Williams psc(+),fdc, In his inaugural address,welcomed and briefed the participants about the programme ,He pointed out that the relevance of this course cannot be underestimated “As detectives,you are the Frontline warriors in the fight against crime and injustice, Your role is not just about solving cases,it is also about bringing succour to victims,ensuring justice is served and uploading the rule of the law, Your dedication, skills and perseverance are what make our communities safer and more secure,The course will therefore challenge you,push you beyond your comfort zones,but will equip you with the tools needed to excel in the complex and demanding world of modern law enforcement “.

He also urged them to approach the course with a sense of purpose and commitment as they will be exposed to various topics ranging from Cybercrime,Principles and Objectives of Surveillance,Intelligence Gathering, Techniques and Processing, Scientific Aids to Criminal Investigation, Human Trafficking, Community Policing,Project,Presentation that will be supervised both internal and external assessors,Physical Exercises,Games and Range Practices are also included in the program so he advised them to take every college activity seriously,and uphold the highest ethical standards, treat individual with respect and dignity interact and make friends with their colleagues, because at the end of the course there will be certificated both in learning and character.

The commandant ended by expressing profound appreciation to the Inspector General of Police,IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun PhD,NPM and his management team for giving the college an opportunity to run the course,improvement most especially in the feeding of the participants is well appreciated.

The Course is a 6 week strategic level course and Participants were drawn from different Services of the Nigerian Armed Forces and paramilitary organisations.

The ceremony was attended by Directors, Senior Offcers and other management staff of the College.
