Hon. Gyang Dung Gyang described Governor Mutfwang’s victory as a reinforcement of the strength and credibility of Nigeria’s democratic institutions.
He said the decision of the apex Court simply affirmed Governor Mutfwang as the politically elected, legally inaugurated and judicially confirmed Governor of Plateau State.
According to him, “I sincerely extend my heartfelt congratulations to Mutfwang on his well-deserved triumph at the Supreme Court. This verdict not only validates the mandate bestowed upon him by the people of Plateau State but also reinforces the strength and credibility of our democratic institutions.”
Acknowledging the challenges encountered during the legal battle, Gyang Dung Gyang (GDG) who is an African youth leader and social change agent, grassroots mobilizer, community youth leader and committed son of Nyango-Gyel, of Jos South LGA commended Governor Mutfwang for his unwavering commitment to democratic ideals, saying “Governor Caleb Mutfwang has demonstrated his dedication to the Plateau Project, and I am confident that his administration will work for the betterment and integration of Plateau State.” Gyang Dung Gyang explained that “the apex Court’s ruling marks the conclusion of a protracted legal process initiated shortly after the elections.
Today’s decision by the Supreme Court solidifies Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s position as the legitimate leader of Plateau State. It has also reinforced the sanctity of the democratic process.”
As Plateau State charts a course toward a new era of governance, let this victory serve as a reminder of our collective responsibility to enhance the progress and prosperity of our dear state.”
He also appealed to the Plateau citizens to remain firm in their continued support of Governor Caleb Mutfwang which, according to him, underscores the importance of unity in advancing the state.
