Plateau Ministerial Replacement: Group berates APC Publicity Secretary over Hon David Bitrus Kasuwa, demand apology.

A group described as the ‘All Progressives Congress Dialogue Group’ has berated the Publicity Secretary of the Plateau State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress Sylvanus Namang over comments made referring to Hon David Bitrus Kasuwa Barji as one who is “not known to the party”.

In a statement issued by the group’s Coordinator Fred Gukat and Secretary Hon Tijjani Umar on Sunday 10th December 2023 and made available to journalists in Jos, they expressed concern that “…the publicity secretary has become a magic wand for detecting known and unknown members of the party adding that he has continued in his unfamiliar esoteric science of mendacity and political make-believe which has always produced what they described as “an atrocious result”.

Recently, there was a leaked information following a meeting of the party last Wednesday 6th December 2023 which alleged that the party had concluded plans to adopt Hon Bitrus Kasuwa David Barji as replacement should Labour and Employment Minister Simon Lalong resign an take up his Plateau South Senatorial position, which INEC has already given him certificate of return following the decision of the Court of Appeal which sacked PDP’s Napoleon Bali.

An official of the party in Plateau State when contacted (names withheld) had confirmed that indeed the party had met but didn’t confirm if the party had adopted Hon David Bitrus Kasuwa Barji, though he said that there are high level permutations and consultations to determine who will replace Simon Lalong as Minister from Plateau State should he decide to step aside. Hon Bitrus David Kasuwa Barji could not be reached to get his reaction over the development.

In a rejoinder, the State Publicity Secretary of the APC Sylvanus Namang in had denied the said adoption of Hon David Bitrus Kasuwa Barji and referred to him as one who was not know to the party.

This group however disagrees with Hon Namang and has requested the he tenders an unreserved apology to Hon Bitrus David Kasuwa Barji, while also referring to the Mr Namang as “…the biggest cog in the wheel of progress in the Hon Rufus Bature State Executive Committee of our great party”.

The group also accused Mr Namang of being “…a tragedy in APC because he has no grassroot, media, Interpersonal relationships, religious, physical and spiritual value to our Party and he is just in the party to spite our faces and our faces will remain disfigured, unsighted, ugly and without any hope of plastic surgery reconstruction to make party members look presentable”, adding that they can’t stand and watch the Publicity Secretary in his macabre dance while their party is destroyed and buried. They accused the Mr Namang of is being an agent sent to destroy their party.

The group presented evidences of the membership and participation of Hon Bitrus David Kasuwa Barji as a founding member of the APC who has contributed in no small way to the development of the party in Plateau State over the years. They also provided evidence of the member of Hon Bitrus David Kasuwa Barji during the 2021 revalidation of membership of the APC at the polling unit, receipts of payments for administrative charges and purchased party nomination forms for House of Representatives (Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency) paid to the party by Hon Bitrus David Kasuwa Barji in 2019 and 2023 respectively. The group wondered why Mr Namang would refer to Hon Bitrus David Kasuwa Barji as one who is unknown to the party.

They made the following demands;

“1. The publicity secretary should tell our party members why his family refused to vote Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda for Governor and BOLA Ahmad Tinubu for President in the last general elections???

The publicity secretary should display his Governorship and Presidential election results from his polling Unit, ward, and local Government.
That an unreserved apology be tendered to Honourable David Bitrus Kasuwa for the unrestrained penchant mechanical and the horrendous misrepresentation by the Publicity Secretary of our party for that lugubrious Press statement.
The publicity secretary must explain to party members on why the constant issuance of divisive, destructive and senile press releases against members of our part just to please his Kingsmen in the opposition ?
The Publicity Secretary must put to an end all the poisoning tools being used by him against our party members.
We appreciate the Quality leadership of Hon. Rufus Bature and our support are with him always.”

We recently came with some disgraceful, mundane, unbefitting and unprofessional publication by a self acclaimed Plateau APC Publicity on one of the Plateau most revered, noble and well respected son (Hon.David Bitrus Kasuwa) in APC. The amateur publication describes Hon. David Bitrus Kasuwa as a member of APC who is not known to APC in the State.

We have made our investigation and we deemed it necessary to let the public know for the records.

It’s evident that the statement issued by the Publicity Secretary was motivated by ill- feelings, malice and bad faith. It was an ill fated statement that was a product of sound intellectual disability and gobbledegook.

It’s worthy of note that Hon. David Bitrus Kasuwa is amongst the first few Plateau People that founded APC both at the National, State and local Government up to ward level. He has contributed both financially and in terms of human capital development in the party without demanding for a reward. He contested to represent the good people of Pankshin/Kanke and Kanam twice(2019 and 2023).

We want to say that the publicity office of APC under the leadership of Sylvanus Namang was a mass punishment for the members of APC in Plateau State because of his divisive and hateful messages under his own feelings without considering the larger interest of the Party.

The publicity secretary is engaged in puerile antics and political gimmickry by always shading a crocodile tears and devising a battery of cacophonous lies that always cause our party a deep internal injury.

We are concern that the publicity secretary has become a magic wand for detecting known and unknown members of the Party. He has continuously in his unfamiliar esoteric science of mendacity and political make-believe which has always produces an atrocious result.

We want to say that no amount of vicarious well known penchant perfidious conduct of any APC actor will be allowed to continue driving our members away just because of an unfiltered ego.

We observed that the Publicity Secretary is the biggest cog in the wheel of progress in the Hon. Rufus Bature State Executive Committee of our great Party.

We equally observed that the Publicity Secretary is a tragedy in APC because he has no grassroot, media, interpersonal relationships, religious, physical and spiritual value to our Party and he is just in the party to spite our faces and our faces will remain disfigured, unsighted, ugly and without any hope of plastic surgery reconstruction to make party members look presentable.

Except smacking from idiotic idiocy, no one with the real brain in his or her head will think of rejecting good progressive members of his party.

We can’t stand and watch the Publicity Secretary in his macabre dance while our party is destroyed and buried. He is an agent sent to destroy our party.
