(1.0) Invitation to Tender for the Following Roads:
(1.1) Rantya Road Network (10.0km)
(2.1) Wildlife Park-Rafiki Junction (4.0km)
(3.1) Construction of Kalong Bridge and Road
Approaches:
The Plateau State Government through the Ministry of Works is desirous of embarking on the Design and Construction of the above roads.
(2.0) Scope of Work
The scope of works essentially involves but not limited to the following:-
- Site clearance up to the limit of construction works.
- Scarification of existing surface.
- Earthworks.
- Subsoil drainage with graded material and filling with boulders on soft spots where necessary
- Provision of Pipe and Box culverts.
- Drainages
- Retaining wails where necessary.
- Bridge works
- Pavement and surfacing with two coats surface dressing.
- Pavement and surfacing with Asphaltic concrete wearing course.
- Stone pitching, grassing, road markings, road signs and other ancillary works.
(3.0) Reputable, experience and competent contractors are hereby invited who must be registered with the Federal Works Registration Board and the Plateau State Tenders Board as a Road/Civil Engineering Contractor, Furthermore, applicants shall meet the following pre-qualification criteria:-
- A substantial turnover in construction works supported by evidence from highly reputable Banks.
- Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) by inclusion of a copy of certificate of incorporation and Articles of Association.
- Comprehensive company profile including key professional staff and their roles, designation, qualification and years of experience.
- Evidence of having successfully carried out similar road construction works in the past five (5) years including title of projects, client, contract sums, copies of substantial completion, maintenance certificates be included etc.
- Evidence of VAT Registration and past remittances.
- Tax clearance certificate for the past three(3) consecutive years (2012, 2013, and 2014) corresponding with declared annual turnover.
- Current audited account.
- Evidence of Financial capability and banking support.
- Verifiable evidence of availability of appropriate equipment, Technical and Professional Staff.
- A bid security in an amount not less than 2% of bid price in the form of Bank Guarantee issued by a reputable Bank.
- Telephone(GSM) numbers of Company Representative for communication
(4.0) Collection of Tender Documents:
Interested Civil Engineering Contractors should collect the Tender Documents on payment of the sum of ₦250,000.00 to the Finance and Accounts Department of the Ministry of Works Plateau State.
(4.2 ) The Bid/Tender documents will be made available on presentation of the receipt as evidence of payment of ₦250,000.00 non-fundable processing fee for your bid documents to the office of:
The Secretary,
Ministerial Tenders Board,
Office of the Director,
Planning Research and Statistics (DPRS),
Ministry of Works,
Jos, Plateau state
These Tender documents are to be dully completed, signed sealed in an envelope clearly marked CONFIDENTIAL boldly written and returned to the Office of:
The Permanent Secretary,
Plateau State Ministry of Works, Jos
Not later than 15th of September 2015
In addition, all bidders are requested to:
(a) Inspect the roads and the works required to be constructed and assure themselves of the scope and nature of works.
(b) Ensure that tender price will adequately cover the execution of the works without further demand on Government
Please note however, that the Ministry is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender.
The tenders received shall be publicly opened after the closing date of Tenders. Tenderers or their representatives shall be invited to witness the opening.
