Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Yakubu Yackson Sanda, has called for the arrest and prosecution of perpetrators of violence in villages Mangu and Bokkos Local Government Areas, which led to the loss of lives and destruction of properties.

Sanda, while condeming the attack on the people of Marish in Bokkos and Murish, Kumbum District and Jwak Mai Tumbi in Mangu, described it as babarick and inhuman.

The Speaker commended the prompt action of Security agencies that calmed the situation from escalating and called for thorough investigation into the attack and perpetrators made to face law no matter how highly placed they may be.

He added that the State government has made huge investment on Security and Peace building, as such the State Assembly will not fold its arms and watch enemies of the State returning the State to the era of Crisis.

The Speaker while commiserating with those who lost their loved ones and perpeties, urged the people to remain calm and not to take the law into their hands as Government is investigating the root cause of the attack.

Sanda appeal to the State emergency Management Agency and other relevant Government agencies to reach out to victims of the attack with relief materials.
