Member Representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency of Plateau State in the National Assembly, Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos has donated four Cars worth millions of Naira as New Year gifts to his Traditional Rulers in Vwang District, Jos South Local Government of Plateau State.
While presenting the four cars which include three 406 and Toyota Camry to the traditional rulers during the 2023 Vwang New Year Celebration known as “Jogo Shey Pas Vwang” said the gesture is his way of showing appreciation for his traditional rulers and also to help them with mobility to carry out their responsibility effectively.
Bagos who is an indigene Vwang donated the cars to Gwom Rwey Vwang, Da Gyang Gut Balak, Gwom Chugwi, Da Atyos Mwadkon Mandung, Gwom Turu, Da. Ezekiel James Dalyop and Acting Gwom Fwil, Rev. Dr. Bitrus Choji.
Chairman of the Vwang 2023 New Year Celebration and Member Representing Keffi/Kanu/kokona of Nassarawa State, Hon. Gaza Jonathan commended the Hon. Bagos for donating the cars to the traditional institutions and also empowering his constituents, and expressed optimism that the empowerment would impact on the wellbeing of people of his constituents.
He further appealed to the people of Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency to re-elect the Hon. Bagos in 2023 for more dividends of democracy.
The special guest of honor at the event, and the Governorship Candidate of the PDP in Plateau State Barr. Caleb Mufwang also commended the Lawmaker for touching the lives of people in so many ways.
He added that constituency projects are important because they would make the constituents experience the dividends of democracy.
Gwom Rwey Vwang Da Gyang Gut Balak while responding on behalf of the Vwang traditional rulers appreciated the Lawmaker for giving them new year gifts of Cars.
The Gwom Rwei, described Bagos as an illustrious son who has been able to provide three (3) Town Halls, and a Police Station, Construct a Road, Installed Solar Lights at Vwang Central Market, provided an ICT Facility, empowerment of Youths and Women, provided scholarship and payment of NECO fees, apart from Agricultural Interventions among others.
He added that education remains the greatest and safest legacy parents can bequeath to their children, investment in the educational upbringing of children should be prioritized
“We should enroll, retain and ensure completion of children’s education, especially the education of the girl child”.
