The University of Jos, today Inducts its first set of Veterinary Doctors. The graduates are 16 in number out of the 42 admitted .

Prof. Elias Bogoro Former, executive secretary, Tetfund who spoke on entrepreneurship says that Veterinary medicine is a special course and has the ability to compete globally….

“In the Nigerian of today, you have the certification but you have to do something exceptional, that is what will make you Relevant…… With those ICT facility in your hands, you can create a job for your self…. Look beyond the direct area of your profession, tommow may we hear that you are the best where you are leading ” Prof. Bogoro

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Ishaya Tanko while congratulating the inducted Doctors,

” As a university we thank you for agreeing to be students of this faculty,we as a university, i recall when the University decided to create this Faculty, i was a member of the committee and that today am happy because the concept is now a reality….we are proud as management of the University because the faculty is taking the centre stage…. “

The Vice Chancellor appreciated FG, Tedfund, and prof. Elias Bogoro for the support in building this faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Vice Chancellor also says if not for the challenges of IPPIS the best two graduating students would have been employed, but the management will consider them….

The foundation Dean professor Lami Lombim in her remark as appreciate the management of the University …

Mr. Vice-Chancellor Sir, that I have fought a good fight of faith, I have finished this race, now awaits for me the crown and these students I present to you for induction today are my crowns.
