The former head of state General Abdusalam Abubakar has applauded Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State for the peace being experienced in the state. He stated this when he visited Governor Jang in Jos. He said “may this evil never visit us again”. He noted that peace building is a collective effort and called for it to be sustained.

While appreciating the transformation in the state, the former head of State said he has been taken aback by developmental strides of the Government in the State having served in Jos and called on the Governor not to relent in delivering the much needed democracy dividends to the good people of the state. Gen Abubakar urged citizens to be patient with the democratic process which usually comes with challenges.

Governor Jang described General Abubakar as the man who gave democracy to Nigeria. He acknowledged the contribution of the former head of state who he described as a man of destiny for the development of the Country.
