Following the discovery of explosive devices at ECWA Church Angwan Yashi, Tudun Wada area of Jos, the Plateau state Governor Barrister Simon Lalong has condemned the incident. The Governor’s condemnation was released in a statement by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Mr Emmanuel Nanle.
Lalong said “The bomb blast of the morning of Sunday the 12th of July, 2015 targeted at worshippers of the ECWA Church, Angwan Yashi, Tudun Wada is yet another reality of the Security Challenge we are contending in the face of the unrelenting attempts by Agents of terror who do not share in our peoples value of Faith”.
He added “That the Blast came without a casualty despite the magnitude of the explosion is a testimony of the fact that God himself is in the business of bringing to an end this reign of terror over the land”.
The Governor lauded the effort of the church guards who were vigilant and proactive in averting the calamity that would have claimed the lives of innocent worshippers. He also commended the Nigeria police bomb squad who came to the scene swiftly and detonated the explosives.
