Senator Representing Plateau North Senatorial District, Istifanus Dung Gyang has pledged to release the sum of one million naira to support the Rebuilding of Rantis Community in Gashish District.

Senator I.D Gyang disclosed this on Saturday when the National leadership of the Berom Youth Moulders-Association, (BYM) paid him a Courtesy visit in his residence, where the lawmaker said the fund is to ensure the successful commencement the project before subsequent intervention.

The Senator also donated a vehicle to aid the movement of officials of the Association as the three vehicles of the Association have all broken down.

The lawmaker reiterated his commitment to ensure the completion of the BYM hall at Diye Zaramaganda, adding that the project has been captured in the 2022 budget.

Gyang stressed that the profile of the Association to the entire world will be determine by the leadership style of its Representatives and admonished the newly inaugurated officials not to betray the confidence of the youths.

He called on the various Berom Associations to come together and come up with a course (blueprint) for the land, adding that as Representatives of the people, they cannot work in isolation and against the course of the land.

Speaking earlier, BYM President, Solomon Dalyop Mwantiri, Esq appreciated the Senator for supporting the Association through the building of BYM hall and supporting the rebuilding of Jong Community in Ropp, and prayed God to continue to guide the lawmaker and grant him wisdom to discharge his duty.

The BYM President also commended him for standing as the voice of the people at the floor of the house and interventions through the various empowerment schemes.

He solicited with the Senator to support the project embarked by the Association to rebuild Rantis Community in Gashish District to ensure the people who were displaced as a result of the attacks in 2018 are resettled.

Mwantiri charged the lawmaker to explore his position as the Deputy Chairman on Defence to ensure the massive enrollment of youths within his constituency in the various security agencies.

He lamented the poor participation of people within the northern Senatorial District in the ongoing Continues voters Registration exercise and called on the political class to support in mobilizing the people to be registered.
