At the time of filing this report, a statement was yet to be issued by the state government on the matter, but Nde Alexander Mwolus, member of the royal family confirmed the death to our correspondent.

Our reporter confirmed that, stakeholders and elder statesmen from  Pankshin and Kanke LGA, were at the time of filing this report, in a meeting to determine burial rites and next steps in respect of putting the processes in place for the selection of a new leader. At the end of this meeting, we expect an announcement to be made.

Rumour had it in February that Joshua Dimlong was dead, forcing the government (spear headed by Samuel Goar) to issue a statement saying that he was in hospital recuperating from an illness.
