Plateau Youth Council Leadership Charged to be Agents of Peace-Dr. Patrick Dakum

The successfully conduct and inauguration of the Executive Council of the Plateau Youth Council is a significant milestone as the youths prepare to be part of leadership that will engender good governance and democracy.

I congratulate you all for emerging as Leaders. Let’s reserve the celebrations to the end of your tenure so that we celebrate success.

I therefore, wish to challenge the New Leadership of the Plateau Youth Council led by Comrade Sunday Adas to channel their resourcefulness into productive ventures that will contribute to the growth and development of Plateau State.

Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State and Hon Commissioner of Youths and Sports, Hon Victor Lapang must be commended for creating an enabling environment for the Youths to explore their potentials and to add value to the peace process in Plateau State.

As “Leaders” of today, it is imperative that you continue to support the Government as it thrives towards the development of the Youths by creating opportunities for employment as well as constructive engagements.

Be bold to speak truth to Government but in love knowing we are in the same boat “Plateau” and must row in the same direction to maximize success.

As you settle down to the reality of our times in Plateau State and Nigeria as a Nation, always remember: “Seek the face of God as you lead the teaming Youths on the Plateau State, seek for reconciliation and healing as well as imbibe the Spirit of Team Work to enable you deliver on your mandate”.
