Reports reaching ViewPointNigeria indicates that the Plateau state college of education Gindiri is yet to hold a convocation ceremony 23 years after its establishment. The Provost of the institution Professor Shem Binda while speaking to NAN stated that “We have graduated 19 sets of students without holding a single convocation. In fact, the temporary results issued them are being rejected in some quarters”.

Binda was speaking shortly after Governor Jonah Jang visited the institution to inspect its facilities and infrastructure. He further said that “For 19 years now, our graduates have been using temporary results; we are getting worried because most of them are losing their jobs because such results are being rejected by employers. We are also worried that the non-issuance of the original certificates to the graduates is posing a serious threat to the image of the college”.
