All Progressive Congress APC Campaign Council for the Plateau Southern Senatorial by-election has said that the Party has the best candidate to win the forthcoming election slated for 31st October, 2020
Chairman of the Campaign team Senator Victor Lar made this known while briefing Journalists at the APC secretariat in Jos on Saturday alongside other members of the team
He said that the APC Candidate Professor Nora Daduut has all the qualities it takes to represent the Zone at the Red chambers of the National Assembly.
It would be recalled INEC has fixed 31st October, 2020 following the demised of Plateau South Senator late Ignatius Longjan in February, 2020.
He said the campaign team will be moving round starting from Monday 12th October, 2020 to the Local Government Areas for a town hall meeting to present it candidate to all the electorates.
“We want to assure you that APC is a responsible party that follows the guidelines of INEC and provision of electoral law and the Constitution and our candidate is a quality product that will win the by-election come 31 October, 2020”.
Senator Lar added that Plateau South is the stronghold of APC and the electorates are aware of the achievement of Governor Simon Lalong led administration in the state.
He noted that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP is just joking to contest the elections when they have not resolved their party crisis.
“We will be moving round to harvest decampess from PDP to APC because they are still battling their wards, Local Government and State congresses case in court”.
Also Speaking as part of the Campaign Council member, the APC Secretariat in Plateau State Barr. Bashir Sati said APC is a Peaceful party, saying Base on the achievements of Governor Simon Lalong and acceptability of the party it will win the by-election just as the governorship in 2019.
The campaign council team is made of former chief of Staff to Governor Lalong chief John Dafan as Deputy Chairman, Director General Industrial Training Fund Sir Joseph Ari, ALGON Chairman Hon. Ezekiel Vuelgap among others.
