For one who has closely observed and followed the tracks of Late Nde Alexander Danlami Molwus, it is a known fact that the fallen hero was a very passionate, outspoken, bold and dogged politician who would always say things the way they are without mincing words. His penchant for being blunt on all occasions without trying to sound politically correct at any point had on several occasions placed him in a position to receive lots of bullets on behalf of others. He had been at the forefront of standing for what is right and just, with glaring risks and deadly consequences, yet remains committed to all just causes in the face of overwhelming threats and grievous consequences.
Nde Molwus was an experienced and consumate politician who was full of wisdom, humility, love and compassion.
His fall was quite very untimely and the deadliest blow on the face of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) especially in Plateau state at a very critical moment where a lot of wisdom, maturity, sincerity and sacrifice was needed to bring the PDP out of its present quagmire.
Before his death, Nde Molwus made a submission in his bid to add his voice to the recurring PDP crisis in the state and by extension, Nigeria. His statement did not get the much media attention it deserves hence could not go viral. The statement is hereby reproduced and handed down to the PDP and all political heavyweights as well as upcoming politicians as a template for better political understanding at all times.

I am sad. Indeed very sad on the happenings in our PDP edifice as a symbol of politics in Plateau respected in Nigeria as I address this to our esteemed three BOT members, elders of the party and CWC members in the state. That the walls of PDP have fallen. And the gates have been burnt down. And the elders are living in shame. Plateau needs our the Nehemiah. I hope by now they know that our challenge is not in the state. But the National PDP in Abuja. I believe the National leadership had, made up their minds on those eligible for the forth coming convention to endorse them. All they are now doing is to buy time to invite each group of the divide and pacify them giving hope that they are apolitical to what is happening in Plateau PDP. Assuring of level playing ground. Each group would come back home satisfied only to get different directives to the state party. This will continue until the national convention is held with their anointed CWC in the State. The more you waste your time going down to Abuja the more nothing would come out of it. Can’t you see? Any misdeed in the state’s PDP I believe rests with our BOT members in the state, elders in the state. A situation where there is mistrust in the party, no amount of legal legitimacy would solve the impasse. What is required in the state PDP is the use of the spirit of the party not the law. The law killed but the spirit gives live. That has been the role of BOT and elders in the state. But where the BOT and elders in the state are discounted we are in danger of the survival of the party. Let me assert, that all of us in Plateau have seen and marveled at the monumental achievements built on consensus by our founding fathers at the envy of other states. But I say unto you no stone would be left unturned at the rate of how this our negative attitude we have imported into our party. Can’t you remember what Gov Wike of Rivers State told the national party? For some of us as Disciples of PDP would follow its corpses to know where it would be buried. Certainly if care is not taken we shall be scattered among the political parties in Nigeria. And how can we sing the PDP anthem to political parties unknown to Plateau state? Tell the acting CWC members that they are dancing naked, tell the State Working Committee in the state that people in the state have gathered to join the CWC in the naked dance and are clapping their hands for you to continue. Please come and cover your nakedness with the cloth of the spirit of the party and not the law. Those who have ears and eyes let them collectively own the party not at the exclusion of others. Amen. Plateau PDP shall rise again after three days. Amen. I have spoken mine.
