Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State, Hon Letep Dabang has said one of the aspirants for the forthcoming senatorial primaries of the party in the southern zone, Prof Nora Dadu’ut is a registered member of the party.
Reacting to reports on Prof Dadu’ut not possessing an APC membership card as well as voter’s card and never registered at her ward, Letep Dabang said as party chairman he is in possession of documents containing Prof Dadu’ut’s APC membership and voter’s cards as well as the register of the party with her name as registered from her ward.
He said he has received two petitions with similar contents from a group which calls itself “Concerned APC Members from the southern zone” and Prof Emmanuel Garba alleging that one of the aspirants, Prof Nora Dadu’ut is not a registered APC member and does not possess a voter’s card.
The APC Chairman in the state said with all documents on the various aspirants in his possession, he described the publication of such an information on the media space as false, mischievous and aimed at discrediting someone wrongly.
Letep said amongst that of other aspirants, he had all documents relating to Prof Dadu’ut which was forwarded by him even before the screening by the National Secretariat where Dadu’ut passed and was cleared for the primaries hence wondered where this was coming from.
He appealed to all APC members to shun politics of character assassination and go about their campaigns with decorum.
He assured that as a family, the party has offered a level playing ground for the forthcoming primaries noting that all are members of one family.
