Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State, Hon Letep Dabang has said he is very confident the party will again clinch the Senatorial seat in the forthcoming by election in the state.
Responding to series of questions raised by reporters to him on certain developments in the party he said the APC is solidly on the ground in southern plateau and possess an array of grassroots politicians who can easily propel the party to victory in any elections.
Dabang stressed that having the Governor,Minister,Deputy Speaker House Of Representatives,Members of the National and State Houses of Assembly and other top notch politicians that have lived up to their responsibilities in connecting with the people,the APC will sail to victory when the bye election holds.
He added that the party is also banking on the abiding faith of people of the Southern zone in the APC saying the love for the party is still waxing stronger.
Also responding to reports credited to the News Agency Of Nigeria,NAN on the party having only three Aspirants, Hon Letep Dabang said yes as at the time he granted the interview, only the three Professors had officially informed him and the party in the state that they had purchased the nomination forms saying probably more did purchase after he granted the interview and might be on their way to informing the party in the state.
“Now that the sale of forms has come to an end I expect that the National Secretariat of the party will communicate us officially and with list of all aspirants since they dealt directly with the National Office and not us here”.
Reacting on modalities for the primaries the APC Chairman said the National Secretariat had already constituted the various committees that will ensure a free,fair and credible primaries and assured that the party will treat all the aspirants equally as they are all stakeholders in the growth of the party.
He challenged the various aspirants under the party to go out and canvass individually for votes from delegates as the state party will not interfere in that.
