Borno Governor Babagana Umara Zulum yesterday received the new head United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA), Mr. Trond Jensen at the Government House, Maiduguri.

Mr Trond accompanied by the Nigeria’s UN resident Coordinator and UN OCHA’S Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Sir, Edward Kallon met the Governor behind closed doors. Social protection of people affected by the insurgency, joint efforts in response to Covid-19 and UN, NGOs achievements were discussed.
UN OCHA have been supporting government in coordination of humanitarian response, policy development, and humanitarian advocacy.
