News reaching VPN indicates that the State Security Service (SSS) has paraded three suspected spies in Abuja. It was gathered that one Abdullahi Mustapha Berende was arrested for spying for Iran in Nigeria with the prospect of attacking some targets.
The suspect was understood to be working in collaboration with an Iranian group to set up an international terrorist network with the aim of attacking high personalities and targets within the country. Prominent on the hit list includes former President Ibrahim Babangida and former Sultan of Sokoto, Ibrahin Dasuki. The suspect told security personnel that he got training from the Iranians to also spy and attack Israeli targets in the country to get the message across to the West.

Two other accomplice of Berende namely Olayinka Saka and Saheed Aderemi Adewumi were equally paraded before the press. The duo claimed that Berende recruited them into the network and that other members are presently on the run.
