With just a few days to the Presidential election, a youth group under the aegis of Middle Belt Youth Council has called on all Middle belters to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan, saying he is better option for the country.
Addressing journalists in Jos, Monday, Leader of the group, Emmanuel Zopmal said, “Our reasons are not far-fetched from the fact that he is a man who loves Nigeria and has never tampered with the political development of this country.
“He stands for the unity of Nigeria and has always given priority to policy-based administration.
Adding that, “For the fact that President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration is faced with the worst challenges that ever confronted Nigeria before does not mean that he has failed, but in the face of these daunting situations he has achieved alot in education, transport, youth empowerment programs, agriculture, road construction, water projects, aviation among others.
Zopmal maintained that, they will not give their support to General Mohammadu Buhari, describing him as a “jihadist”.
He said, Buhari has taken politics to be a moral game by promising to repeal the anti-gay right laws in his purported Chatham House address.
The group also faulted Buhari’s refusal to attend the last year’s national conference, saying “Buhari being a renegade in every national cause boycotted it for a narrow and selfish reason.
Zopmal called on middle-belters to support and vote for Goodluck Jonathan instead of Mohammadu Buhari in the March, 28th, 2015, presidential elections.
